Instructions
Step 1
heat butter and oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Step 2
add garlic and onions; saute for a minute or so.
Step 3
pour in the tomato sauce, sugar, salt, and pepper (to taste) and stir. cook over low heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally
Step 4
cook pasta according to package directions;
Step 5
drain pasta, reserving 1 cup of pasta water. remove the sauce from the heat and stir in the cream.
Step 6
add cheese to taste, then check the seasoning.
Step 7
stir in the pasta and thin with a little pasta water if needed.
Step 8
add cheese and serve immediately.
