Instructions

Step 1
Peel the carrots and cut in half crossways, cook with the chicken breast in a saucepan with some soup vegetables and broth.
Step 2
Remove the carrots that are not quite cooked and cut into small pieces. Let the meat continue to simmer, the softer the tastier.
Step 3
When the meat is ready, remove and cut into small pieces. I like to make a little more meat, then I have chicken broth ready for the next day.
Step 4
Cut the cooked ham into cubes and add to the carrots and meat.
Step 5
In a non-stick pan, melt 50 g butter and gradually stir in all the flour. Then add up to 30 g butter, so that a somewhat creamy consistency is reached. Simmer for about 1-5 minutes while stirring. Now add up to 500 ml of milk in small amounts and stir very well. It should be slightly runny, broth can also be added.
Step 6
Stir in a few dashes of lemon juice, salt, pepper and frozen parsley and simmer for a few minutes while stirring. Then mix in the carrots, meat and ham.
Step 7
Place all in a flat pie dish. Press the thawed puff pastry of the appropriate size onto the pie / mold. You can cut out shapes or patterns from leftover puff pastry and decorate the lid with them.
Step 8
I bake at 355 Fahrenheit (180C) convection and bottom heat because this works best with my ceramic dish.
Step 9
If the puff pastry looks good, it's done since everything is already cooked.
