Ingredients

1 cupred lentils
750mlwater
2cloves garlic
1onion
chopped
ginger
thumbsize piece, minced
1 ½ tspcumin
1 ½ tspground coriander
½ tspchili powder
½ tspturmeric
300gchopped tomatoes
1 tspsalt
Cilantro
chopped, optional
1 Tbsplemon juice
squeezed
3 Tbspoil
4 clovesgarlic
minced
1 tspcumin
1 tspchili flakes
salt
to taste
black pepper
to taste
Instructions
Step 1
Cook 1 cup Lentils in 3 parts Water for about 10 mins.
Step 2
In another pot sauté chopped Onion, Garlic, minced Ginger and Spices in some oil.
Step 3
Add chopped Tomatoes to the pot with the Spices and simmer for a few more minutes.
Step 4
Add cooked Lentils and stir in with some Salt, Lemon Juice and chopped Cilantro.
Step 5
Heat up Spices and minced Garlic in a pan with some Oil (low heat) for about 1 min.
Step 6
Season with Salt and Pepper to taste. Then pour over the Dhal and serve with cooked Rice.
