Vermicelli with rice

Instructions

Step 1
Wash and soak rice for 15-20 minutes. In a large pot over high heat add olive oil and vermicelli stir continuously until vermicelli is toasted and golden brown. Add soaked rice, chicken bullion powder, salt, and turmeric. Mix well and stir over high heat for 2 minutes. Add water, give it a good stir. Bring it up to a boil and reduce it down to a simmer with the lid on for 20 minutes. Cut the heat and rest 5 minutes with the lid on then uncover and fluff the rice with a fork. Serve and enjoy.
