Reasons why you should make this miso gochujang pasta dish:
1. It's easy.
2. It's creamy.
3. You need it.
If you're feeling for veggies, mushrooms and spinach would be a great addition!
If you're feeling more carnivorous, try adding shrimp, chicken, sausage or even a combo of the three!

Instructions
Cook the pasta,
Step 1
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Step 2
Add your choice of pasta and cook until a little before al dente (8-9 minutes). Drain and set aside. Reserve some pasta water for later (about 1/2 cup). You want to cook your pasta to a little bit before al dente because it will further cook in the sauce later on.
Prepare the sauce,
Step 3
In a large skillet or saucepan, heat butter over medium low heat.
Step 4
Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
Step 5
Add gochujang and miso paste, stirring to combine.
Step 6
Cook the gochujang and miso paste over medium low heat for 2-3 minutes.
Step 7
Add honey. The honey is used to offset the saltiness of the miso paste. I used about one tsp but start with 1/2 tsp and see how you like it before adding the rest!
Step 8
Pour in the heavy cream and add sesame oil, stir well to combine.
Step 9
Let the sauce simmer for 5 minutes over medium low heat.
Add in the pasta,
Step 10
Add in your cooked and drained al-dente pasta.
Step 11
Cook the pasta in the sauce over medium low heat until the sauce thickens. The al dente pasta will absorb the sauce and finish cooking in the sauce.
Step 12
Once the sauce has thickened, turn off the heat and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the pasta and toss again. Toss until the cheese has melted fully into the sauce.
Step 13
Season the pasta with salt and black pepper to taste. Add some pasta water if the sauce is too thick.
Finishing the pasta,
Step 14
Garnish with chopped green onions or parsley if desired.
Step 15
You may also add additional Parmesan cheese on top if you like.
Step 16
Enjoy hot!
