Instructions

Step 1
Add oats, milk, water, salt, cinnamon and vanilla to a pot or saucepan over medium/high heat and stir.
Step 2
Bring mixture to a low boil, reduce heat to a low simmer and continue to cook for about 5-7 minutes; stirring occasionally. Oatmeal is ready when the oats have soaked up most of the liquid and are creamy.
Step 3
Remove from heat and mix in the maple syrup and brown sugar. Serve with toppings of your choice. I like to add a few blueberries or bananas and crushed walnuts!
