Instructions
Step 1
1.) Preheat the oven to 420°F
Step 2
2) In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, *salt, sugar, baking powder, and butter.
Step 3
3.) In a different bowl, mix the egg, sour cream, vanilla, and lemon zest and juice.
Step 4
4.) Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until combined, but don't over mix. If it's a little dry, add in 1/4 cup of milk or water.
Step 5
5.) Add in the blueberries with your hands and then take out a small fistful of dough and place them an inch apart on a greased cookie sheet.
Step 6
6.) Optional, Sprinkle a pinch of brown sugar on top of each biscuit. (Can use white sugar if you don't have brown)
Step 7
7. Bake the biscuits for 15 minutes if they're small or 25 minutes if they're large, but only til they're golden in color and cooked through.
Step 8
8.) Cool on a wire rack for two minutes
Step 9
9.) Create the glaze by mixing together the lemon juice, powdered sugar and a little milk or water until you get the consistency you want. I like it thick, so it was less watery.
Step 10
Then pour the glaze over the top of the biscuits and let it harden slightly.
Step 11
10.) Serve and enjoy!! *
