Instructions
Step 1
Add 2 cups of water to a cooking pot.
Step 2
Add ½ cup of (previously washed) short grain rice.
Step 3
Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer until almost all water is absorbed.
Step 4
Stir a little bit and add 3 and 1/4 cups of whole milk.
Step 5
Add ½ or 3/4 cups of sugar.
Step 6
In a separate bowl, add 1/4 cup of milk and 2 heaped tbsps of corn starch and mix well.
Step 7
Pour this mixture in the rice with milk pot.
Step 8
Mix continuously until the milk starts to get thicker.
Step 9
Add 1 tsp vanilla extract and mix again.
Step 10
When the mixture starts boiling, add 3/4 cup of heavy cream and mix.
Step 11
When it starts to bubble, remove from heat.
Step 12
Pour into individual bowls and let cool. Put in fridge.
