Chana daal halwa is a dessert made from split lentils. Its creamy texture makes it hard to believe that it's a dessert made from lentils. Extremely popular among the South Asian communities and eaten at celebrations.

Instructions
Step 1
Add the split lentils, 500 ml of semi-skimmed milk, and water in a pot.
Step 2
Bring it to a boil and cover, and cook on low flame for 35 minutes or until the milk and water have dried.
Step 3
Transfer the lentils to a food processor and add 50 ml of semi-skimmed milk. Blend to a smooth mix.
Step 4
Heat the oil on medium heat in a pan and add the green cardamoms and the split lentil mix.
Step 5
Stir continuously and cook until the oil separates.
Step 6
Add the sugar and stir well until it dissolves.
Step 7
Add cardamom powder and 15 g of nuts and cook for 2 minutes.
Step 8
Garnish with the remaining almonds and serve hot.
