Instructions
Step 1
Heat oil in large skillet over medium high heat. While oil is heating, season the roast with the salt and pepper.
Step 2
Carefully place roast in the heated pan and sear on all sides.
Step 3
Transfer roast and pan juices to slow cooker. Sprinkle onion soup mix over the roast and add water and beef broth. Cook on high for 4-6hrs or on low for 8-10hrs.
Step 4
Remove beef from slow cooker and shred.
Step 5
Toast bun with cheese under broil in the oven. Serve roast on the rolls and dip in juice from crock pot.
