Ingredients

Instructions
Prepare the Semolina Dough:
Step 1
In a large bowl, combine semolina, salt, and olive oil.
Step 2
Gradually add warm water while mixing to form a dough.
Step 3
Knead the dough until it's smooth. Divide it into small balls.
Steam the Semolina Balls:
Step 4
Place the semolina balls in a steamer and steam for about 30 minutes until they are cooked through. Break them apart into smaller pieces with a fork.
Prepare the Meat and Sauce:

In a separate pan, heat some olive oil and brown the beef pieces.

Add chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onions are golden and the lamb is browned.

Add diced tomatoes, bell pepper, and chickpeas. Cook for a few minutes until the vegetables are tender.

Stir in cumin, paprika, coriander, and caraway seeds. Mix well.

Add chicken or vegetable broth and tomato paste. Simmer for 15-20 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Combine Semolina, Meat, and Sauce:

Add the steamed semolina pieces to the pot with the sauce and meat.

Mix well, ensuring the semolina absorbs the flavors of the sauce and meat.
Step 12
Spoon the Chakhchoukha with meat onto serving plates.
Step 13
Garnish with fresh parsley.
