Beef and Broccoli — Nourished by Mads
Ingredients: (Serves 3-4) 1.5 cups dry rice, 3 cups water 1/2 cup soy sauce 1 tbsp honey 4 garlic cloves, minced 1 inch piece fresh ginger, grated 1 tbsp corn starch 1 tbsp olive oil, for the pan 1 pound ground beef (I use 90% lean) 1/2 yellow onion, diced 1 large head broccoli Toppings:

Instructions
Step 1
1. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch. Set aside.
Step 2
2. Add the olive oil to a large deep skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef and onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until the meat is just about cooked through, about 5 minutes.
Step 3
3. Pour in the reserved sauce, stir to combine, and cook for 1 minute. Add the broccoli and cook for 1 more minute.
Step 4
4. Divide mixture evenly among 4 plates or shallow bowls, layering rice first, if using.
Step 5
5. Top with sesame seeds and scallions. Enjoy!
