Classic chilli cheese toast - a breakfast in bed, classic & can never go wrong!
Cheesey, crunchy and chilli - the three C’s for this recipe for the January C recipe challenge is a perfect breakfast or evening snack you could make -
Ingredients-
For the garlic butter -
1 whole garlic roasted with olive oil and salt for 30/40 mins in the oven at 180C
3tbsp melted butter.
For the topping:
Mozzarella Cheese - around 1 cup grated
Coriander 2tbsp chopped
Parsley - 1tbsp, finely chopped
Salt & Pepper - to taste
Herbs - oregano and chilli flakes
Green chillies - finely chopped
Onion - finely chopped
Finely chopped veggies of your choice -
We’ve added bellpeppers finely chopped.
Bread - you can take any, we’ve taken a footlong
Method -
1. In a piece of foil, but the garlic and olive oil. Salt and pepper and roast.
2. In a bowl, add cheese and all the other ingredients, season it well with salt pepper & herbs.
3. Slice the bread keep aside.
4. Mix the butter and the garlic and spread on the bread.
5. Top it generously with the cheese mixture and then air fry, for 10 mins at 180C till golden brown. Keep checking!
Serve with coffee or your favourite beverage and enjoy!
