Instructions

Step 1
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C fan) and line a loaf tin with baking paper.
Step 2
2. In a small saucepan, combine 2 chai tea bags or 2 tablespoons of chai spices with 3 tablespoons of milk, 1 tbsp honey and 1/2 a shot of coffee simmer gently for 5 minutes. Strain and allow to cool.
Step 3
3. In a mixing bowl, combine the bananas, yoghurt, eggs, and vanilla extract. Combine well.
Step 4
4. In a separate bowl, mix your flour, protein powder, and baking powder. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet , stirring gently until just combined.
Step 5
5. Fold in the chopped dates, ensuring they're evenly distributed throughout the batter. Then pour into the prepared loaf tin, spreading it out evenly.
Step 6
6. Marble some tahini over the top of the batter and use a knife to swirl it around. Sprinkle the crushed pecans on top of the loaf and pop the loaf tin into the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
Step 7
7. Once baked, remove the loaf from the oven and allow it to cool in the tin for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Step 8
8. Slice into thick slices and serve with extra nut butter or butter!
