Oatmeal Raisin Shortbread - Elder Scrolls
Sometimes the simplest recipes can be the most rewarding. While variations can be found across
kyrim, this particular recipe comes from a little fishing cottage outside of Winterhold. Sweet and
puttery, these little iced shortbreads are a perfect pick-me-up in the morning or in the afternoon
with a cup of tea. These shortbreads can be cut into any shape you desire from simple circles
squares, and triangles to more adventurous concepts. If you're feeling creative, try your hand at
creating shapes such as a snow bear, ice wraith, or even Alduin the World Bater.
Pairs well with: cold oat milk, tea

Step 1
To make the cookies:
I. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar, then add the
Nord Spices, oats, and raisins. Begin adding the flour, mixing until
you have a consistency just shy of too crumbly. Roll out to a little
over %/4 inch thick and cut into your desired shapes. Place these on
a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate for about
30 minutes.
2. Preheat the oven to 350°F, and after the shortbread has chilled,
bake for about ro minutes, until the edges are just turning golden
Remove from the oven and allow to cool on a wire rack.
Step 2
To make the icing:
3. While the shortbread is cooling, combine the powdered sugar and
heavy cream in a small bowl. Add just a little bit of maple syrup
or honey at a time until the icing coats the back of a spoon, but
is still a little runny. Drizzle over the shortbreads once they are
completely cool.
