Meal that got me through college: Beef Fried Rice 🥩
Ingredients
2 cup of cooked rice
12-15 slices of beef
30g of butter
4 cloves of garlic, minced
30g of corn - I used canned corn
A pinch of salt and pepper
1/2 tsp of chicken powder
Sauce:
2 tbsp of Soy sauce
2 tbsp of dark soy sauce - or add more if it is not dark enough
1 tbsp of oyster sauce
0.5 tbsp of sesame oil
Steps:
1. Combine the sauce and set aside.
2. Add the old day cooked rice in the middle of the pan.
3. Then, add the beef around the rice followed by butter, garlic and corn.
4. Stir fry the rice until the beef is 70% cooked.
5. Add the sauce to the pan followed by chicken powder, salt and pepper and spring onions.
6. Stir fry for another 2-3 minutes to heat through.
7. Garnish the fried rice with sesame seeds, spring onions and chili oil.
8. Optional - you can add an egg yolk to the rice when it is still hot
