Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 450° F. Line a small pan or casserole dish with baking paper.
Step 2
Slice salmon fillets in half horizontally. Place the bottom half of fillets in the prepare baking dish.
Step 3
Chop the spinach leaves into small but rough pieces.
Step 4
In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, spinach, basil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Step 5
Split the cream cheese mixture evenly between the fillets, spreading thickly on the bottom half of the fillet in the prepared baking dish.
Step 6
Place the top half of each fillet on top of the cream cheese mixture, so that you have a "sandwich". Sprinkle additional salt and pepper to taste on top.
Step 7
Bake in the preheated oven for 20 mins.
