Ingredients

For Peanut Chutney
¾ cupPeanut
Raw, or Roasted
½ cupCoconut
1 tspcumin seeds
tamarind
small lemon size
2garlic
0.5 inchginger
1dried red chilli
salt
as per taste
¾ cupWater
or as required
For Tempering
Instructions
Step 1
If you are using raw peanut then roast it first. Take a pan and add the peanuts and roast it well in medium flame for 5min. Once the peanut is roasted well, remove the skin from it.
Step 2
In a mixer Jar, add the roasted peanut, grated coconut, jeera, salt, tamarind, dried chilli and water.
Step 3
Now grind it to a smooth paste by adding water if required.
Step 4
To prepare the tempering, heat 2 tsp oil and splutter mustard, urad dal, chana dal, dried red chilli and few curry leaves.
Step 5
Turn off the flame and add asafoetida.
Step 6
Pour the tempering over the chutney and mix it well.
