Butter Chicken (Murgh Makhani)

Instructions

Step 1
Marinate the chicken with the yoghurt, turmeric, chilli powder, garam masala, ginger paste, garlic paste, ghee and salt.
Step 2
Refrigerate for 30-40 minutes

Skewer the marinated chicken and grill until slightly charred

Set aside
Step 5
Blend the soaked cashews with a little water to form a smooth paste
Step 6
Heat the butter in a pot, add the garlic and ginger paste, turmeric, and chilli powder

Sauté briefly, then add the tomato puree
Step 8
Add any leftover marinade, fenugreek and garam masala
Step 9
Add cashew paste and honey, blend into a smooth sauce
Step 10
Season with salt and simmer for 3-4 minutes
Step 11
Add the grilled chicken pieces, mix well, and simmer for 5-6 minutes
Step 12
Stir in the cream.
Step 13
Serve hot with naan or basmati Rice.
