Instructions
Step 1
Place 1 cup of flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in the bread machine pan.
Step 2
Add the warm water and melted butter to the pan.
Step 3
Select the dough cycle on your bread machine and start it. The machine will mix and knead the dough for you.
Step 4
When the dough cycle is complete, remove the dough from the bread machine and turn it onto a floured countertop.
Step 5
Divide the dough into 4 even sections. Then divide each section into 5 equal pieces to make a total of 20 pieces (or 6 pieces per section for a total of 24 buns if you prefer smaller buns).
Step 6
Roll each piece of dough into a smooth ball, pinching the seams in the back. Roll each ball into a cylinder approximately 5-6 inches by 1-1.5 inches. Flatten slightly for less thick buns.
Step 7
Place the shaped dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 1-1.5 inches apart.
Step 8
Cover the dough with a clean towel and let them rise for 45-60 minutes, or until doubled in size.
Step 9
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Step 10
Bake the buns for 15-20 minutes, or until light golden brown. Optional: Brush with melted butter upon removing from the oven.
Step 11
Let the buns cool to room temperature before slicing and serving.
