Instructions
Step 1
Wash and make a cross sign on top of your tomatoes with the help of a knife.
Step 2
Cook your tomatoes in some boiling water for literally 60 seconds, then add them to a bowl full of ice and cold water. Gently peel your tomatoes, add them to another bowl and crush them with your hands.
Step 3
Crush your garlic with your hands or the back of a life and tear the basil leaves.
Step 4
In a pan over medium low heat, cook your garlic and basil with a generous amount of olive oil for 3 minutes then add your crushed tomatoes.
Step 5
Season with salt and pepper and cook without the lid for 30 mins.
Step 6
Correct the acidity adding a couple of teaspoons of sugar, remove the garlic and blend everything with a hand mixer!
Step 7
Your homemade tomato sauce is ready! You can use it to make pasta, pizza or for anything you like.
