Ingredients
2 servings
1 cuprolled oats
355mlwater
or unsweetened almond milk
1pear
ripe, cored and chopped
30gwalnuts
chopped
2.5mlground cinnamon
1 tablespoonground flax-seed
optional for added fiber
Instructions
Step 1
1. In a small pot, bring the water or almond milk to boil.
Step 2
2. Add the rolled oats and simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the oats are soft.
Step 3
Stir in the chopped pear, walnuts, and cinnamon, cooking for another 2-3minutes until the pear is tender.
Step 4
Remove from heat and let sit for a couple of minutes to thicken. Stir in the ground flaxseed if using.
Step 5
Serve warm, garnished with additional cinnamon or a dizzle of honey if desired for natural sweetness.
