Step 1
Combine the oatmeal and raisins in a bowl or saucepan, pour over the apple juice and 350ml water, stir well and leave to soak in the fridge overnight.
Step 2
When you’re ready for breakfast, top the pats and their soaking liquid into a saucepan and add a pinch of salt. Put over a medium heat and bring slowly to a simmer, stirring often.
Step 3
When it is simmering, turn the heat down low and let the porridge poop and sputter gently for 5-8 minutes, stirring often, until creamy-textured and thick. Add a splash of hot water from the kettle if it gets too thick. The oat groats should be just tender but still with plenty of nutty texture.
Step 4
Spoon the porridge into bowls. Top each with a 1 tsp drizzle of honey and top with the fine dusting of cinnamon.
