Instructions

Step 1
Set a medium-size pot over medium heat. Add a splash of oil and fry the chopped onions until they start to brown. Add the garlic and fry for a minute until fragrant. Add the rest of the ingredients except mayo and whisk well to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook slowly for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Reduce the sauce by roughly a third until it is semi-thick, then remove it from the heat.

Finely blend bourbon sauce in a blender and mix with mayo
