Camembert, Cranberry and Candied Pecan Grilled Cheese
5 steps
Prep:5minCook:6min
This holiday-inspired grilled cheese is so delicious. Melted Camembert is paired with sweet cranberry sauce and crunchy candied pecans. This makes a great base for a leftovers sandwich...just add turkey, some crispy bacon and a spoonful of stuffing for a super indulgent treat (maybe reduce the cheese a bit though!)....

Note about the pecans
Step 1
You can find my candied pecan recipe by searching 'Sweet + Spicy Candied Pecans' on Samsung Food.
To make the sandwich
Step 2
In a large frying pan, melt the salted butter over a medium heat.
Step 3
Slice your bread of choice – I used focaccia that had been baked in a loaf tin (I’ll share recipe soon!). Slice your cheese and layer that on top of one side of the bread. Spread the cranberry sauce on the other side of the bread and then transfer both pieces to the frying pan with the melted butter. Reduce to medium low heat, cover the frying pan with a lid (if you have one that fits!) and cook for 6-8 minutes or until the bread is a deep golden brown and cheese has melted.
Step 4
Remove from the frying pan, sprinkle the chopped candied pecans over the cheese, press the sandwich together, cut on a diagonal and enjoy!
Step 5
Add some turkey and bacon to make this the most indulgent leftover sandwich…
