Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400° F
Step 2
Make or buy pizza dough.
Step 3
Flatten the pizza dough down into an oval shape with 1 of the shorter sides kept more wide. (Think tear drop shape.)
Step 4
Place the BBQ sauce on the side you left more wide and spread it around into a half circle. (Leave a finger width gap between the edge of the dough and the BBQ sauce in the wider side. Only spread the sauce about halfway down in the other direction towards the more narrow end of the dough.)

Add around 1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese on top of the BBQ sauce.

Step 6
Add the chicken, red onion, jalapeño slices, and bacon bits. (However much you want without overloading the calzone.)

Add 1/2 cup of mozzarella to the top of the ingredients.

Fold and stretch the smaller empty side of dough over the ingredients until they are fully enclosed in the dough.
Step 9
Wet the edges of the dough with a little bit of water and pinch them closed. (You can use a fork as well to seal the edges and give them some lines.)
Step 10
Pleace the calzone in the oven and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
