Instructions
Step 1
Add all the ingredients to a bowl and mix well.
Step 2
Once mixed transfer into a jar or bottle. This will last in a refrigerator for months.
Step 3
Use as a dipping sauce, a marinade for chicken or as a glaze on chicken burgers, tenders or nuggets and can be used to make Bang Bang Cauliflower.
Step 4
Devein the prawns, and then butterfly them by slicing them down the back from the tail to the head but not all of the way through.
Step 5
Press down on the back to crack the muscle and leave the prawns flat.
Step 6
Dry the prawns on kitchen paper and set aside.
Step 7
Add the cornflour, paprika and garlic powder and mix.
Step 8
Add the prawns into the flour mixture ensuring the prawns are fully coated in the flour.
Step 9
Heat a pan of oil to 150 degrees and deep fry the prawns, cook until the batter is crispy and golden brown approximately 3-4 minutes.
Step 10
Once cooked remove and drain. Once drained add the prawns to a bowl and spoon over some of the firecracker sauce and toss.
Step 11
Serve, garnish with chopped fresh coriander, slices of red chilli and ginger match sticks.
Step 12
Lick your lips and enjoy.
