Instructions
Step 1
start by cutting the Halloumi into thick fries (about half an inch or 1 to 2 cm wide). Make sure that they are roughly the same size for even cooking. Then pat them dry with kitchen roll to remove any moisture which will prevent them crisping.
Step 2
Then in a mixing bowl, toss the Halloumi fries with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. You can also spray them with vegetable oil for a lighter version. I also like to season mine with dried oregano and paprika but this is optional.
Step 3
So next you can preheat your air fryer to 190°C for a few minutes if you want your halloumi fries extra crispy.
Step 4
Arrange the Halloumi fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Leave the crisper plate in. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer. Cook your fries for about 10 to 12 minutes, turning them halfway through, or until golden and crispy on the outside.
Step 5
Remove your fries from the air fryer basket and serve immediately with a dipping sauce.
