Instructions

Making balls

Step 1
Peel and chop onion

Fry onion
Step 3
Mix panko with 2/3 of the cream, let swell for a while

Mash the sardines
Step 5
Mix all the ingredients for the balls. Take enough extra cream to make the "dough" easily shapeable and not too firm

Boiling time

Mix water, stock cubes, wine, bay leaf and onion crescents. Bring to the boil.

Roll meatballs, the size of small clementines. Add 4-5 at a time to the stock and boil slowly until ready, about 12-15 minutes.

Making the gravy

Drain the stock

Brown the flour in butter in a saucepan

Add stock while stirring

Let gravy simmer for 10 minutes. Flavour with salt and pepper.

Stir egg yolks into sour cream
Step 13
Remove gravy from the hot plate and stir in egg/cream mixture.

Simmer until gravy thickens. No boiling!

Add lemon and capers to gravy

Serve with potatoes
