Instructions
Step 1
cut your three potatoes into chunky chips (or thinner fries if you prefer) and soak them in cold water for about an hour to help remove the starch and prevent them from sticking together in the air fryer.
Step 2
Next put 100g of plain flour into a mixing bowl and then slowly add half a pint of beer whilst whisking by hand. Once you have added all of the beer, keep whisking the mixture until you have a nice thick aerated beer batter.
Step 3
Then pat your two salmon filets dry using a paper towel and cut them into bite sized pieces. Next dip each piece of salmon into the beer batter, then dip into the plain flour then put two pieces on to each wooden skewer. This part can be quite messy!
Step 4
Next drain the potatoes and rinse in cold water then pat the chips dry using kitchen roll. Then put your chips into your air fryer basket, trying not to overlap them.
Step 5
Cook the fish and chips on 190c for around fifteen minutes but keep moving your skewers throughout and spraying with olive oil half way through.
Step 6
Finally, carefully remove the fish & chips from the air fryer and serve them in paper cartons.
