Rinse the salmon fillets and pat them dry with paper towels. Season evenly with a pinch of salt and pepper, then let them rest for 5 minutes.
Step 2
In a small bowl, combine freshly squeezed orange juice, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon honey, a pinch of orange zest, minced ginger, and garlic to create the orange sauce.
Step 3
Preheat a non-stick skillet with a drizzle of oil over medium heat. Place the salmon fillets (skin-side down if applicable) in the pan and sear for 3-4 minutes until the first side turns golden and crispy.
Step 4
Flip the fillets and sear the other side for another 2-3 minutes until golden.
Step 5
Pour the prepared orange sauce evenly over the salmon and reduce the heat to medium-low. Let the sauce simmer and reduce slowly, basting the salmon occasionally with a spoon to coat it thoroughly.
Step 6
Once the sauce has thickened and evenly glazes the salmon, remove the pan from the heat. Plate the salmon, garnish with a little extra orange zest if desired, and serve immediately.
