1. Cook the noodles: Boil according to package instructions, drain, and rinse with cold water. Toss with a little oil to prevent sticking.

2. Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), sesame oil, sugar, white pepper, and water. Set aside.

3. Stir-fry the vegetables: Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large pan over medium-high heat. Add garlic and onions, stir-fry for 30 seconds. Add carrots and cabbage, stir-frying for 2–3 minutes until slightly tender.
