Ingredients
4 servings
2Chicken Sausages
sliced into rounds
2 Tbspolive oil
2cloves garlic
thinly sliced
1 hunkginger
grated
1sweet potato
medium, cubed
2carrots
sliced
½ tspturmeric
1 tspcinnamon
½ tspground cloves
½ tspground nutmeg
2 tspfennel seed
1 tspthyme
1 tspsalt
mineral
2 cupsbone broth
2 cupswater
filtered
½ cupfull-fat coconut milk
2 cupsgreens
kale, spinach, or chard—use what you’ve got
0.5juice of lemon
Instructions
Step 1
In a large pot, warm olive oil. Sauté shallots gently until soft and golden (5 mins).
Step 2
Add garlic, ginger, and chicken sausage slices. Sauté another 5 minutes, until sausages brown a little and everything smells amazing.
Step 3
Add sweet potato cubes, carrot, turmeric, spices, and sea salt. Stir well.
Step 4
Pour in your bone broth and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook until sweet potatoes are tender (10–15 mins).
Step 5
Stir in coconut milk and any greens you’re using. Simmer another 5 minutes.
Step 6
Finish with a squeeze of lemon juice, and adjust seasoning to taste.
