Instructions

Step 1
Rinse the red lentils thoroughly under running water. Then soak them in 300 g of water heated to approx. 80 °C for 30 minutes.
Step 2
After soaking, blend the lentils together with the soaking water until smooth.
Step 3
Check the temperature. If it is not above 37 °C, stir in the rest of the ingredients. Let the mixture sit for another 30-45 minutes to thicken slightly and activate the yeast.
Step 4
Preheat the oven for the last 15 minutes to 200 °C
Step 5
Pour the batter into a prepared baking tin (lined or greased).
Step 6
Bake for 45–50 minutes, until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Step 7
Let the bread cool completely for 1–2 hours before slicing.
