Mozzarella & Thyme Stuffed Zattar Bun

Cheesy & delicious cheese stuffed bun topped with zaatar & olive oil! It’s super delicious and one of the best buns I ever made!

Instructions

Step 1
Mix yeast, warm milk, and sugar. Cover and let rest 10 to 15 minutes.
Step 2
Add the rest of the ingredients except for the salt. Mix until dough is formed (adding the salt in between mixing.)

Need dough for 10 minutes or until dough is elastic.
Step 4
Brush clean bowl & dough with olive oil.
Step 5
Cover with plastic wrap and towel and let proof for two hours.

Preheat oven to 425F

Divide dough into 8 equal pieces. Making to balls and let rest for 20 minutes.
Step 8
Add balls of fresh mozzarella and and fresh thyme in the middle of the doughballs and enclose it. (put gloves on and need mozzarella with the thyme into balls)
Step 9
Let rise then brush with Egg wash.
Step 10
Bake and parchment lined cast-iron skillet until golden brown. (just before it turns to golden brush with zaatar and olive oil.
