1 tablespoonolive oil

1 lbground turkey

1carrot
small, peeled and grated

1onion
peeled and grated

2cloves of garlic

¾ teaspoondry thyme

1 tablespoontomato paste

½ cupdry red wine

½ cupchicken stock
unsalted

1 tablespoonworcestershire sauce

1.3 lbspotatoes
washed peeled and chopped

2 tablespoonsbutter
unsalted

2 tablespoonsmilk
warmed

2 teaspoonsmilk
warmed

1egg yolk

2 tablespoonsparmesan cheese grated
Instructions
Step 1
For meat mixture
In a large bowl - place the following: carrot, onion, garlic, and thyme
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
In large skillet- brown meat in oil. Add above mixture stir together. Add tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce and red wine. Cook for 5 minutes. Add stock - mix and simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and spoon into baking dish. For mashed potatoes Peel and cut potatoes into evenly size pieces. Place in a large pot of water (1” above potatoes). Cook for 25 minutes. Drain for 1 minute. Place potatoes back into pot and cover - place on stove to dry potatoes. Add milk, butter, egg yolk and cheese and mix together with a masher. Set aside until meat mixture is ready. Place potatoes over the meat mixture in the baking dish. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
