This is a modified version of Nami's gyudon recipe on justonecookbook.com! (the prep time includes cooking rice and marinating your meat)
It's just as yummy and comforting, but with yummy garlicky goodness 😋 🍚

Prep
Step 1
Slice your beef thinly and marinade it in the Kbbq marinade for half an hour. I used the brand Bibigo!
Step 2
Cook your rice and set aside (keep it warm in the cooker)
Step 3
Cut one green onion diagonally into thin slices
Step 4
In a large frying pan (don't turn on the heat yet), add your sauce ingredients: 1/2 cup water, 2 Tbsp sake, 2 Tbsp mirin, 3 Tbsp Kbbq marinade. Stir to combine

Spread the meat thinly and evenly in the pan
Cooking
Step 6
Cover the pan and turn the heat on medium. Once it starts simmering, turn down the heat and cook, covered, for 3-4 minutes
Step 7
While simmering, skim off any scum or fat from the broth
Step 8
Sprinkle green onions on top and cook covered for another minute
To serve
Step 9
Divide rice into servings in bowls and drizzle some sauce from the pan onto the rice
Step 10
Put your beef on top of the rice and drizzle some more sauce on top. Enjoy!
