Instructions
Step 1
Prepare recipe as directed. Each version is listed under a separate step. Don't follow them all together.
Step 2
Heat oil in a large Skillet over medium Heat semicolon add corn and red pepper flakes. Cook 4 to 5 minutes stirring occasionally until heated through. Remove from Heat
Step 3
Stir in basil and top with cheese. Season to taste with salt and black pepper if desired.
Variations
Step 4
For Spicy Mexican Corn: Cook drained corn with 1 can (4 oz.) diced green chilies instead of red pepper flakes. Stir in 1/2 tsp. cumin instead of basil and top with 1/2 cup shredded cheese instead of Parmesan in Step 2.
Step 5
For Savory Corn & Tomatoes: Cook corn with 1 cup halved cherry tomatoes and 1/4 cup sliced green onions instead of basil and cheese.
Step 6
For Sweet Corn with Thyme & Bacon: Cook corn with 2 tsp. fresh thyme instead of red pepper flakes. Stir in 4 slices cooked and crumbled bacon, replacing basil and cheese in Step 2.
Step 7
For BBQ Corn: Cook corn with 1/2 cup BBQ sauce instead of red pepper flakes. Omit basil and top with cheese in Step 2.
