Instructions
Step 1
Cut strawberries into quarters.
Step 2
Place in a bowl with sugar, set aside for 20 minutes.
Step 3
Whisk together egg, milk, cinnamon and vanilla in a bowl.
Step 4
Melt 15g / 1 tbsp butter in a non stick skillet over medium heat.
Step 5
Dunk a piece of bread quickly into the egg mixture, coating both sides. Place in pan. Repeat with another piece of bread
Step 6
Cook for 2 ½ - 3 minutes on each side until the surface is golden, then transfer to serving plates.
Step 7
Add the rest of the butter into the pan and repeat steps 5 and 6 with remaining bread..
Step 8
Serve with strawberries and maple syrup.
