Instructions

Step 1
Brown beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it up, until just cooked through (5–6 min).

Let it cool slightly so it doesn’t steam the bread.

Heat oven to 425°F.

Line a sheet pan with parchment.

Place ciabatta cut-side up on the pan.

Brush lightly with olive oil.

Bake 5 minutes to lightly toast.

Spread pesto evenly over the warm bread.

Cooked Italian beef

Mushrooms (raw — they’ll roast perfectly)

Mozzarella

Tomato slices

Parmesan

Light pinch salt & pepper

Return to oven and bake 10–12 minutes

until cheese melts and edges are golden.

Add cracked black pepper
