Instructions

Step 1
Rehydrate 1 lb dry chickpeas in instant pot pressure cooker OR overnight soak & cook in stovetop OR heat up 3 cans of chickpeas in a pot on the stove. You want to add the chickpeas to the blended ingredients while they are freshly drained of water and HOT.
Step 2
Into a large high speed food processor, add all ingredients except hot chickpeas and ice water. Blend ingredients to smooth.
Step 3
Add hot drained chickpeas and blend.
Step 4
Slowly add ice water until desired consistency is achieved.
Step 5
This will get better as it sits but we love to eat it hot. We call it “hot hummus”.
