Instructions

Step 1
Preheat and Prep: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Step 2
Combine Base: In the baking dish, whisk together the uncooked rice, chicken broth, water, condensed soup, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Step 3
Add Main Ingredients: Stir in the raw chicken pieces, frozen broccoli, and 0.75 cups (half) of the shredded cheese. Spread the mixture evenly, ensuring the rice is submerged in the liquid.
Step 4
Cover and Bake: Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil to trap the steam. Bake for 40–45 minutes.
Step 5
Check for Doneness: Carefully remove the foil. Ensure the chicken is cooked through and the rice is tender.
Step 6
Top and Melt: Sprinkle the remaining 0.75 cups of cheese over the top.
Step 7
Final Bake: Return the dish to the oven uncovered for 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Step 8
Rest: Let the casserole sit for 5 minutes before serving to allow the sauce to thicken.
