Instructions
Step 1
In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5–7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
Step 2
Add the sliced onion and minced garlic to the skillet, and sauté for 2–3 minutes until the onion is translucent and fragrant.
Step 3
Stir in the soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, ground ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes.
Step 4
Add the sliced cabbage to the skillet, tossing it with the beef mixture. Cook for an additional 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender but still slightly crisp.
