Instructions
Step 1
Brown sausage in skillet; drain any excess fat.
Step 2
Add peppers, onion, mushrooms, seasonings and garlic; cook 2 minutes.
Step 3
Stir in tomato sauce and simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes.
Step 4
Top each muffin half with 2 tablespoons meat sauce; sprinkle with cheese.
Step 5
Broil until cheese melts and filling is hot.
Step 6
Serve immediately. Makes 12 servings.
