Cornmeal Porridge

A simple Jamaican-style cornmeal porridge cooked with water and milk, spiced with nutmeg and cinnamon, sweetened to taste with condensed milk or sugar, and served hot.

Instructions

Step 1
Mix cornmeal in 1 cup water.
Step 2
Bring remainder of water and milk to boil and stir in cornmeal and salt.
Step 3
Cook for about 10–12 mins.
Step 4
Add nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla.
Step 5
Sweeten with condensed milk to taste.
Step 6
Serve hot. Ideal for children.
