A Japanese noodle stir-fry dish, yakisoba comes from 'yaki' meaning fried or grilled and 'soba' referring to the buckwheat soba noodles typically used for this dish. We're using egg noodles, chicken and adding ginger for its zingy flavour.

Step 1

Boil a full kettle. Slice pepper into thin strips. Thinly slice the spring onion.
Heat a drizzle of oil in a large frying pan on medium-high heat.
Once hot, fry the chicken, pepper and white cabbage and broccoli slaw, 8-10 min.
Step 2

Meanwhile, pour the boiled water into a medium saucepan with ½ tsp salt and bring to the boil.
Add the noodles and cook, 4 mins.
Once cooked, drain in a sieve.
Crush the peanuts in the unopened sachet using a rolling pin.
Step 3

Once the chicken has cooked, add the noodles, ginger puree, oyster sauce,
Worcester sauce, soy, tomato ketchup and honey
Toss together to combine.
Step 4

Share the chicken stir-fry between bowls.
Top with the peanuts and spring onion.
