Instructions
Step 1
1. Heat the oven to 400°F.
Step 2
2. Mix the meatballs.
Step 3
Combine the turkey, panko, onion, feta, garlic, eggs, oregano, cumin, chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Mix gently with your hands just until everything is evenly distributed. Overmixing can make turkey meatballs dense.
Step 4
3. Shape.
Step 5
Roll into approximately 1½-inch meatballs.
Step 6
4. Sear on the stove.
Step 7
Heat 1–2 tablespoons olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the meatballs without overcrowding.
Step 8
Sear for about 1½–2 minutes per side, turning to brown 2–3 sides. You’re not trying to cook them through yet—just build a nice brown crust.
Step 9
5. Finish in the oven.
Step 10
Transfer the skillet directly to your 400°F oven and bake for about 10–14 minutes, depending on their size.
