Step 1
Prepare the ingredients:
1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
• ½ cup chopped onion
• 1 clove garlic, minced
½2 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 quart canned stewed or diced
tomatoes
• 2 teaspoons paprika
• 1 tablespoon chili powder
1½ cups dried macaroni
• 1 6-ounce can tomato paste (optional)
Step 2
Cook beef, bell pepper, onion, garlic, salt,
and black pepper in a large pot over
medium-high heat, breaking up lumps
with a wooden spoon, until well-browned,
about 5 minutes.
Step 3
Add tomatoes, paprika, chili powder,
macaroni, and tomato paste (if using).
Add water, a tablespoon at a time, if
mixture seems too thick. Simmer until
macaroni is tender, about 10 minutes.
