Instructions

Step 1
Mix the 2 tsp biryani masala, yoghurt, and ginger garlic paste along with some salt. Set aside.
Step 2
Add ghee to a pan, and heat it. Add the onion paste and fry till translucent and golden.
Step 3
Add the vegetables and brown them nicely.
Step 4
Add the tomato paste and the 1/2 tsp biryani masala and fry well.
Step 5
Once the colour of the veg and onion paste changes, add the yoghurt mix and drop the heat down low. Mix well and cover and let simmer.
Step 6
After 10 mins, add the rice. Mix it well, let it saute for a few moments and then add 300ml water. Taste and adjust salt. Aim for slightly oversalted.
Step 7
Add the spinach and chopped herbs on top and cover and let simmer till done.
