Instructions

Step 1
Dice onion into small pieces and add to a large bowl. Add 1 package shredded cabbage or coleslaw mix. Mix in ground pork (also works with ground chicken or goat), garlic paste, ginger paste, turmeric and black salt. After mixing well you can fry a little in a pan to see if more salt or ginger is needed.
Step 2
Wet the edges of a wrapper and place about 1.5 tsp of filling in the middle. Crimp with a Momo maker or by folding the edges in pleats by hand. Make enough mom is to fill a steamer batch and then fill more once those are steaming.
Step 3
Steam dumplings in oiled steamer for 10-12 minutes, checking the first batch to make sure it is cooked enough. Serve with soy sauce and spicy dipping sauce. Any leftover meat can be frozen and saved to fry up for a quick meal addition.
Step 4
Sauce: Roast chillies and garlic in dry pan. Remove and add tomatoes to the pan. Heat on medium until skin splits, watching carefully to not burn them.
Step 5
Add all sauce ingredients to a blender and mix until smooth. Adjust salt and Vinegar if desired.
